l GIRAFE 981 is a one-component, neutral room temperature curing advanced silicone weather-resistant sealant.
l It has excellent weather resistance and strong resistance to tight external lines.
l Under normal conditions without primer, it has good adhesion to most building materials.

l Weatherproof sealing of curtain walls of glass, metal, ceramics and stone.
l Bonding and sealing of various glass doors and windows.

6. Usage Method
l The base materials and auxiliary materials selected for the project must be tested for adhesion and compatibility, and can be put into use only after passing the test.
l The design and construction of the project must strictly abide by the technical specifications stipulated by the state for relevant projects, and refer to the "GIRAFE 981 Neutral Silicone Weatherproof Sealant Usage Guide".
l Air circulation should be maintained during construction and curing environments.
l The bonding surface of the substrate must be cleaned with cleaning solvents such as toluene, xylene or acetone.
l After the glue fills the joints, use a scraper to squeeze further inward to completely fill the joints with glue, and modify the glue surface before it solidifies.
7. Restriction of Usage
l Cannot be used as a structural sealant
l Cannot be used on all material surfaces that will exude grease, plasticizers or other organic solvents
l Not suitable for use in airtight places, because silicone structural sealant needs to absorb moisture in the air to cure
l Not suitable for use on frosted or damp surfaces
l Not suitable for use on places that are continuously soaked in water or humid all year round
l It is not suitable for construction when the surface temperature of the material is lower than 6°C or higher than 40°C

13. Safety Tips:
l Silicone sealants release volatile compounds during the curing process, which may be harmful to health if inhaled for a long time, so good ventilation should be maintained in the construction site.
l The cured silicone sealant no longer releases harmful substances and will not have any harmful effects on the body.
l Keep uncured silicone sealants out of the reach of children. If they accidentally get into the eyes, please rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

15. Maintenance:
l Generally no maintenance is required. If the silicone structural sealant seam is damaged, remove the ineffective silicone structural sealant, clean the substrate surface, and then fill it with silicone structural sealant.
l GIRAFE brand silicone structural sealant can adhere well to the cured silicone glue.
